Summary
Save Our Shropshire receive their Platinum Award from the Carbon Literacy Project
Save Our Shropshire were delighted and honoured to receive their Platinum Award as a Carbon Literate Organisation from the Carbon Literacy Project at the Carbon Literacy Project annual awards ceremony in Manchester on Thursday June 13th.
The Carbon Literacy Project awards organisations different levels of award – Bronze, Silver, Gold and the highest level platinum. This award recognises the number of people educated through the organisation. Also, it requires evidence of projects which demonstrate the level of commitment of an organisation to the development of Carbon Literacy through the creation of courses, promotion of Carbon Literacy activities, and case studies on the development of Carbon Literacy.
If you want your organisation to be certified then do go to this page which has all the details and the application form
We have developed courses, regularly promoted Carbon Literacy through market/event appearances, and provided speaking events with input on climate change. All of the Trustees are Carbon Literacy certified as well.
We were delighted to be in the presence of so many other companies doing brilliant work on developing Carbon Literacy, throughout the world. There is an exciting possibility that we will reach the threshold of 100,000 people certified by the end of June.
