On 3rd November we will be presenting to the SLCC (Society of Local councils and Clerks) conference on how our education and training are helping councillors develop their plans for tackling climate change. Carbon Literate councillors and clerks will understand not only how to change their own buildings and assets, but how to engage their community in making changes to their lifestyles. For us to see the country get to net zero, then every household needs to change the way it eats (more plant-based food), buy less from China and reuse/recycle (repair cafes), and travel differently (use electric vehicles and travel by train), and use “green” fuel (wind, solar and nuclear).
